On the fourth of May I set out to complete the three peaks challenge in order to raise money for charity. The first peak was the sugar loaf. The long trek started at the base continued up to the top and down the shoulder on the other side. Next was the baby sugar loaf. After reaching flat ground at the end of the sugar loaf we then marched on for another 2km to the base of the 'baby'. I found the 'baby' to be more tiring than the sugar loaf but the rewards at the top of the mountain were spectacular. The view stretched out wide and far. The entire of Greystones, Bray and Shankill were all visible and added to the majestic view. In front was the sea and the towns with yellow and green fields, while behind was filled with mountains and hills with the blue sky lighting them all up. Our trek continued on with the steep gradient from the baby sugar loaf to bray head. There were a few stumbles and groans here and there but eventually we reached the top of bray head. We sat down exausted after our 17km hike and ate our lunch with nothing in front of us but the view of sea and blue, cloudless skies. After lunch we walked down to Bray seafront where we all devoured our 99 ice creams and sun bathed on the stoney beach. Our journey finally came to an end when the bus pulled up to bring us back.
I will always remember that day, because it will remind me of the good times I had with me year group.
