Before I was taken away to a French boarding school my partner, Aran Carlile, and I decided that our mini company would be sports related. We came to the conclusion that the majority of sports related objects or services had made huge amounts of profit so naturally we wanted to mmake some money as well. We started brainstorming ideas but none of them seemed to satisfy both of us. One weekend my brothers friends all came over to watch the 'NFL REDZONE' and had all made their own teams in an app called NFL Draft. Basically the app puts you into a group of people and each person takes turns of chosing the players that they think will preform well that week in the NFL. I realized how upsessed they all were with this app, so I started to think of ideas for a rugby app that replicatedsome of the ideas of this app, NFL Draft. I proposed an idea to Aran which he agreed with. The idea was that we would have a homepage with different titles (Your drafted squad, fixtures and results, your school & coaches section) the drafted squad would be the same as the nil however you have the ability to choose which ever major league or tournement you wanted, and like NFL Draft you would obtain a certain amount of points for things players did well. Fixtures and results would just show the top five players(pointswise) from each position, also this page would show the fixtures and results of professional teams. your school would bring you to a page when you would have to log in using a code and once that was done then u see the starting lineup for the next fixture. There would be links on the side of the page for 1)gym program and diet, 2)forwards plays and line outs, 3)backs plays, 4) Results, Fixtures and dealine to cup. The coaches section would contain the role call and have the ability to edit the page named your school. Aran and I were origionally going to sell it to just students but then I thought why not go the step further and try sell to schools, we decided that we would charge two euro per code. One code can be used by only one device, that way they wouldn't have been able to get away from paying. We thought that if big schools such as blackrock wanted our product then we could start making serious money. But just as we started to create the app, all our big plans went to waste when I was told to go to a french boarding school that I attended for 10 weeks in total. When I came back all mini companies were finished and Aran and I had missed our chance.
